In the Summer of 2010 we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary as an organization. The NBSTC History Committee is attempting to locate America’s First Black State Troopers. These individuals were the first to serve in the State Police and Highway Patrol in their states. Please help us to identify these individuals living or deceased.
If you have information or know of anyone with this information please email us at firstblacktroopers@nbstc85.org. Please provide as much info as you can about the individuals as possible, photos are encouraged. Please begin your information with the individual(s) name, years of service, and last duty station. To give you an idea of what type of information that we are looking for, a sample questionnaire has been created for you and is available for down load on this page. We ask your permission to share this educational information with the world by filling out the Media Release Permission Form on this page. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and I am looking forward to a successful Silver year anniversary in Memphis, Tennessee.
