To facilitate self-development and networking amongst our membership to increase their value in their respective agencies and communities.
• To educate our membership concerning their roles in providing their agency with the understanding of what it takes to recruit, retain, and develop a highly motivated and productive minority workforce.
• To encourage active participation by our membership, in their agencies growth and progress.
• To encourage our membership to become involved in their communities by forming closer community relationships with churches and schools, through camps, workshops, and other community based events.
• To remember those who have come before us and those who will follow.

Objectives
Standards of Excellence

The National Black State Troopers Coalition’s Standards of Excellence were developed to create a common identity base within the National network’s framework of Vision, Values and Core Competencies.

The intent of these Standards is to assist the National Black State Troopers Coalition, its Affiliate Chapters and members in the implementation of Standards of Excellence, in order to expand management capacity and demonstrate credibility within the national and local membership and communities served.

NATIONAL CHAPTER’S STANDARDS
• Conduct Spring/Fall Executive Board Meetings
• Conduct New Executive Board Members’ orientation
• Summer Training Conference
• Annual Community Service Event
• Provide regular updates to each affiliate chapter President, Secretary and State Representative
• Provide a Quarterly Newsletter
• Provide Parliamentarian Education session at each board meeting
• Annually publish a National Budget prior to the start of the fiscal Year
• Annually publish a National Training Conference Budget
• Annually publish all Official Acts of the Board of Directors and Executive Board
• Process all new member/chapter applications within 60 days

AFFILIATE CHAPTERS/ MEMEBERS STANDARDS
• Host Quarterly Member meetings
• Host an Annual Member‘s benefit activities
• Host a Membership Drive
• Publish an Annual Calendar of Events
• Conduct a Bi -Annual Community Service Events
• Support the attendance of delegates at the Spring/Fall National Executive Board Meetings
• Support the attendance of delegates at the Annual Meeting of the Membership
• Support the attendance of delegates at the Annual Summer Training Conference
